Specialist technical knowledge is at the core of what we do.
Our expertise spans a broad range and scale of acoustic challenges from intricate room acoustics design of performance spaces through building acoustics design of large scale civic and commercial developments to expansive environmental acoustic assessments of transport links and infrastructure. Our team also has specialist skills in vibration, underwater acoustics, sound insulation theory and data acquisition.
Our work includes major projects in the Australia, New Zealand, France, China, Singapore, USA, Malaysia, Hong Kong, the Pacific Islands and the Middle East.
The new 60,000 seat Perth Stadium will be a world-class multi-purpose venue, using an innovative 'fans first' design. Marshall Day has been successfully appointed as the consortium's acoustic, sound system and AV/broadcast cabling consultant.
Agent of Change
Marshall Day Acoustics has been involved in a number of music assessment projects where the Agent of Change clause has been triggered. MDA has also taken part in Music Industry discussions, and presented technical information to local Councils and Music Industry Bodies on the topic of Agent of Change.
Phoenix Central Park
The $32m Phoenix development by philanthropist Judith Neilson was envisioned as a space in which architecture and interior design, as well as the visual and performing arts, would each enhance and embrace the other for an immersive total experience - a 'gesamtkunstwerk' or 'total work of art'.
Deakin University, IISRI Facility
Marshall Day Acoustics was engaged to provide acoustic design advice for a new workshop and laboratory facility for the Institute for Intelligent Systems Research and Innovation (IISRI) at Deakin University's Waurn Ponds campus. The state-of-the-art facilities will allow IISRI to expand its industry-leading research and development programs in the fields of motion simulation, robotics and haptics, defence systems, and modelling and simulation.
