Our Work

Our History

Marshall Day Acoustics was co-founded in 1981 by Christopher Day and Sir Harold Marshall in Auckland, New Zealand. In 1987, Peter Fearnside became the third partner and founded Marshall Day Acoustics in Australia, whilst also developing the business significantly into the S.E Asia and China markets. Many of the technical innovations and industry-leading acoustic design tools for which Marshall Day Acoustics has become widely respected have been led by Keith Ballagh, who became a partner in 1990.

Our growth over the past 40 years now sees more than 90 professional staff employed throughout New Zealand, Australia, China, Hong Kong and France with over 20 employee shareholders invested in the company.

From our beginnings as a local consultancy, we have carefully evolved into one of the largest acoustic engineering firms worldwide, working on major projects in over 15 countries.
